Questions everyone asks

What types of security doors are available?

Hinged and sliding security doors in steel and aluminium, across a range of styles and colours, plus stainless-mesh security screens, window grilles, roller shutters and window security film. Everything is custom-made to the opening.

Is installation included?

Yes. Measure and installation are part of the job: a security door only works if it is fixed into the structure of the opening properly, so supply-only is the exception, not the rule.

How long does installation take?

Most installations are completed within a day or two of the custom-made products arriving and an appointment being set. Because each door is fabricated to your measurements, the wait is mostly in the making, not the fitting.

Can existing doors and screens be serviced?

Yes. Locks, hinges, rollers and mesh can all be serviced or repaired, and a door that has dropped or stopped closing cleanly can usually be adjusted rather than replaced.

How much do security doors cost?

Every door is made to measure, so pricing depends on the opening, the infill and the style. The quote is free and itemised, and there is no obligation attached to it.

Are the products under warranty?

Products carry their manufacturer warranties. The specific terms depend on the product line you choose, and they are confirmed in writing with your quote so you know what is covered before you commit.

How do I know a door is a real security door?

Check it against the five-point anatomy: frame, infill, locks, hinges, fixing. And ask whether the product is tested to Australian Standard AS 5039. A genuine security door has good answers to all six questions.
